Inger Persson (1936-)
Inger Birgitta Persson, ceramics designer, was born in Sweden on boxing day 1936. She went to Konstfack University in Stockholm 1955-1959 and during the summer months when she was off from her studies, Inger worked as a handyman for Gustavsbergs Porcelain Factory and Uppsala Ekeby.
The years at Konstfack University ended with a degree exhibition resulting in the Director of Rörstrand, Fredrik Wehtje, hiring her. At Rörstrand Persson designed tableware in porcelain and stoneware, vases, pots and small animal figurines.
In addition to her work for Rörstrand, Inger freelanced as a designer in both Denmark and France before she left the art scene in 1996.
